About Amy Simpson….
Amy is the founder of Rebirth Therapies and a remedial massage therapist who has been working with women and their families since 2008.
Qualified with a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy, she undertook further training to specialise in pregnancy and postpartum treatments. She has also added to her repertoire over the years studying techniques such as Manual Lymphatic Drainage, remedial Cupping and aromatherapy, which she uses to enhance the sessions she offers.
As a mother and a therapist, Amy has an extensive understanding of the physiologic and emotional changes that occur during pregnancy and all of the changes that women and their families face following the birth of a child.
Amy also works with pregnant women and their birth partners, running workshops to assist in their preparations for labour and birth. Guiding them through beautiful and simple techniques that can be used through labour.
A qualified infant massage instructor, Amy also runs workshops to teach this beneficial skill to new parents either privately or in group sessions.
She is passionate about the impact that infant massage can have on reducing the effects of postnatal depression and anxiety in new parents, so she is currently working on a few new workshops; one tailored just to dads and another designed to really connect in with yourself and your babe. Although the majority of her practice are new or soon to be parents, her clinic is open to all and she is committed to providing a space that meets her clients where they need to be met.
Amy lives in Melbourne’s inner west, with her three kids, huge dog and Simon (bless him). She loves this area and feels blessed to be able to connect with a lot of the local people in this gorgeous community through her work.
